Ease of Use of the Radio Trig Stack
The Trig Stack radios display is both clear and bright, showing the main and secondary frequencies as well as custom airport or field identifiers (using ICAO or user-defined identifiers). The ‘Push Step’ button allows for rapid switching from 8.33 kHz to 25 kHz (TY96/TY97 models) or from 25 kHz to 50 kHz (TY96A/TY97A models), allowing you to tune the radio quickly without compromising your visual observation.
Dual Watch
The Dual Watch feature allows you to monitor two frequencies simultaneously, which is like having two radios in one. So you can monitor two channels at the same time, providing more flexibility and security.
User configurable database
A configurable database allows you to upload over 200 frequencies and IDs to the radio from a CSV file, via a USB stick (included). There are no subscription fees, which provides a very flexible way to customize the radio for each flight and each pilot. This feature is particularly useful for aircraft fleets or flying clubs, as it allows the radio to be quickly adapted to the specific needs of each flight. You can create your own database here.
Say Again
The radio has a ‘Say Again’ function: a simple press of a button will replay the last radio transmission. This is particularly useful for student pilots, but can be beneficial for all pilots, as it avoids having to ask the control tower to repeat a message.
Emergency button
A one-touch emergency button automatically resets the 121.5 MHz frequency, as well as the volume levels, ensuring successful transmission even in a stressful situation.
Integrated intercom
Each radio features a built-in two-seat intercom, with auxiliary inputs for stereo music and audio alerts. Additionally, each radio can be integrated with a GPS navigator (SL40 and GTR225 protocols) to automatically display the necessary frequencies throughout the flight. An airport database can also be loaded via the convenient USB port. This database can hold over 200 frequencies and identifiers.
Product design
The radio’s low-profile design requires no external cooling fans. Its compact size and features make it an excellent choice for front-end or retrofit installations. Each radio is designed to easily integrate with legacy radios, such as the popular KY 196A, KY 197A and SL 40 models.
