The skyBeacon works with any existing Mode C transponder. Using uAvionix’s patented Power Transcoder technology, it communicates seamlessly with your existing transponder through your aircraft’s electrical system.
Even though you are equipped with ADS-B, it does not necessarily mean that you want to be tracked. With the skyBeacon Anonymous mode, your aircraft identification remains hidden from the ADS-B OUT while transmitting on the 1200. Anonymous mode helps secure the airspace while preserving your privacy.
An integrated WAAS GPS provides the skyBeacon with position data that complies with the rules for ADS-B transmission. No additional connections or external GPS antennas are required.
