Multifunction SBAS Flight Management System for Helicopters
Helicopters require avionics equipment specifically designed to meet the unique demands of rotary-wing flights for civil, military, or special missions, which is why we developed Avidyne Helios. Helios is a new multifunction flight management system based on a Satellite-Based Augmentation System (SBAS) that provides full Required Navigation Performance (RNP) and Area Navigation (RNAV) capabilities, including Localizer Performance with Vertical (LPV), Lateral/Vertical Navigation (LNAV/VNAV), LNAV-only, and Approach with Vertical (APV) procedures, all in a Dzus mount configuration.
But true capability requires ease of use, which is why we've integrated features such as simplified flight planning, one-touch departure, enroute, and arrival navigation, and our patented GeoFill™ waypoint naming. We've even included a full keyboard and touch input to make map panning and flight plan editing easier.
